Memory Portraits: Vietnam
The purpose of our project was to create an original portrait for a disabled woman living in Vietnam. Similar to the orphaned children of Uganda (See Memory Portratis 2007), many disabled adults living in Vietnam have faced incredible challenges throughout their lives. These memory portraits not only help honor their heritage and identity, but provide the women with a sense of support from other women around the world. Our portraits were hand-delivered in September 2008
